Scripture Reading: Acts 12:1-11
Date: 19 December 2021
Conquering nation, the Lord our God harkens to his word to perform it and he is not like man that he should lie. The above-quoted passage of scripture is a fitting example of this very truth.
When the Apostle Peter was imprisoned, bound in chains awaiting his demise with no plausible escape in sight, the fervent prayers of the righteous men and women of the church caused the impossible to happen.
As the church came together in agreement about Peters's dire situation, they turned their countenance to the Lord their God, opened their mouths, and prayed fervently for God to make a way where there was no way.
God with great haste, turned his countenance towards them and answered their fervent prayers by setting Peter free to even the dumbfounding of all who were praying ever so fervently for him.
Beloved, God hastens to answer the prayers of the righteous who pray fervently and stand in the gap for their brethren, themselves, and their families.
As 2021 draws to a close, may you press on in faith, pray fervently, and stand in the gap for your brethren. Jehovah Jireh is coming so provide for your most pressing need and leave you completely dumbfounded!
