Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 29: 4 - 14.
Date: 11 July 2021
King Nebuchadnezzar captured the leadership of Israel and kept them in exile. In the midst of all this, there were false prophets who submitted false reports about how long the Israelites would be in exile. However, Jeremiah's counsel carried great insight which was meant to build the Israelites that were kept in captivity. The same strategy that Jeremiah used can be implemented in this dispensation. There are certain situations and circumstances that make us feel like we have been captured or cast into exile. Perhaps the pandemic has made you feel like you are in exile. With all the occurrences that transpired, let us hone in on the message that Jeremiah boldly proclaimed to the children of Israel. The fundamental principles were that we should never allow setbacks to paralyze us. Setbacks should not immobilize us. Never focus on the seasonality of your burden. Be exhorted, take action. In the midst of your captivity, be fruitful. Regardless of what is facing you. Seek out strategies that will bring an increase in your life. Be creative, engage the economy. God is expecting us to be industrious.
