Introduction:

In this powerful message, Apostle General Jannie Ngwale delivers an important proclamation and announcement about the overarching assignment of the Church of Jesus Christ. The assignment extends to all believers, and it is our duty as disciples of Christ to fulfil it. This article highlights the significance of this assignment and its impact on our lives, putting emphasis on the transformative power of the Word of God. As we embark on this mission, we must always remember that God has equipped us with the necessary tools to bring light and change to this world that needs to hear this Word.

Understanding the Assignment:

The assignment bestowed upon the Church is rooted in Matthew 28:19, where Jesus commands his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. This scripture forms the foundation of our mission as followers of Christ. One of our assignments as the Church is that we are called to be agents of transformation in the world. It is therefore essential to understand the significance of this mission.

The Disciples of Jesus:

The moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, we become part of His disciples. Mary, the mother of Jesus, exemplified this relationship when she confidently declared, "Do whatever he tells you" (John 2:5). As disciples, we are called to put the teachings of Jesus into practice, obeying His commandments and demonstrating our love for Him (John 14:21, 23).

Transforming the Nations:

Jesus's command to go into all nations encompasses a vast mission. We are called to bring the standards of God's kingdom to the world, to bring heaven upon all nations (Deuteronomy 11:21). While this task may seem daunting, we must remember that Jesus is aware of the challenges we will face. We will encounter people with twisted lives, confusion, and resistance to change. However, we are still called to preach, teach, and proclaim the transformative power of the Word of God.

Challenges and Disillusionment:

As agents of transformation, we will encounter individuals who are resistant to change or relapse after initial progress. It is important to acknowledge that disappointments and disillusionment may arise from these encounters. Some may drain our energy and stretch our creativity. Nevertheless, we must persevere, understanding that God has entrusted us with the mission to shine His light upon them, even if the outcomes are not always as expected.

The Creative Power of God's Word:

The Word of God carries immense power within it. It has the ability to create, illuminate, and bring life to areas where physicality cannot reach. Just as God spoke the world into existence, His Word spoken through us can bring miracles and transformation. We should never underestimate the potency of the Word in our lives and the lives of those we encounter.

Agents of Change:

We are not experts in human dynamics, but the Word of God transcends human limitations. It possesses wisdom, insights, and knowledge that can bring about profound change. Regardless of our qualifications or background, each of us can be used by God as an instrument of transformation. What matters is our availability and willingness to allow God to work through us.

The Impact of Our Words:

When we preach the Word of God, amazing results can unfold. The finger of God becomes involved, leading to transformations that are beyond our understanding. The Word of God carries answers and solutions, and as carriers of that Word, we have the privilege of being a point of contact for His power to manifest in people's lives. As we open our mouths and share the Gospel, the Word does the work of transformation.

Conclusion:

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ, we have been given an overarching assignment to transform lives with the Word of God. It is our responsibility to go into all nations, bringing light and proclaiming the transformative power of Jesus Christ. While challenges and disappointments may arise, we must remain faithful, knowing that God has equipped us with His Word, which carries the creative power to change lives. Let us embrace our role as agents of transformation, speaking the Word of God with boldness and watching as He works miracles in the lives of those we encounter. May the pronouncement of the Word continue to bless and impact the lives of many.
